Yogi takes on Akhilesh & Rahul, Oppn counters with 'cracks in BJP' jibe

UTTAR Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday rejected allegations by Leader of the Opposition Mata Prasad Pandey that deaths had occurred due to the consumption of fake medicines and codeine syrup, asserting in the Assembly that no such case had come to the notice of the state government so far.

Responding to the Samajwadi Party’s claims during the discussion, Yogi said the issue was being raised without proper study. “What is the question, and what issues are being raised? One should come after a full study,” he said. Without naming anyone, the chief minister made a sharp political remark, saying there were “two examples in the country, one in Delhi and one in Lucknow”, who “leave the nation when discussions begin”. “I feel the same happens with your leader,” he told opposition.
