According to sources, Sharmila is trying to cozy up to the Congress to fight the Assembly election in the State. The YSRTP chief is said to be asking for seven Assembly seats in Khammam and Nalgonda and one Parliament segment from the Congress as part of the deal.
The sources said that Sharmila met Shivakumar one and a half months back when he was Karnataka PCC chief, and again on Monday on the back of soaring hopes of the Congress winning elections in Telangana after the party's victory in Karnataka.
