Jena, who had been booked earlier for accumulation of disproportionate assets, was also found in possession of bank balance, postal savings, and fixed deposits of ₹4.84 crore. His bank and postal deposits stood at a staggering 3.33 crore, while the bank balance traced was ₹1.51 crore. This apart, Jena allegedly invested around ₹47.75 lakh in mutual funds. The gold seized from his possession included gold bars, gold biscuits, coins, and jewellery among others. Jena had retired last year as the principal chief operation manager of East Coast Railway (ECOR) in November.
