Police uncover cannabis farm in former Co-op

A CANNABIS farm has been uncovered in a former Co-op in a Northumberland town.
Northumbria Police arrested three men and dismantled the farm at the former Co-op store on Rothbury High Street at around 12.30pm on Wednesday, and when officers investigated they found the cannabis farm. The three men, aged 39, 40 and 42, were arrested on suspicion of production of a class B drug.
A county councillor for Rothbury, said: "A police presence will be maintained on site until the cannabis farm is dismantled.
