Photographer Al passes on tips in new book

A DEVON sports photographer with more than 40 years experience behind the lens has published a book offering tips to budding snappers – and is already planning another tome.

Al Macphee has covered a plethora of sporting events for publications including and the Torquay-based as well as running his own photography business.

Having started out as a photographer in the Armed Forces in 1981, Al once had a spot on the exclusive Royal List, permitting him to photograph the Royal Family on visits around the world.

He has now worked for more than 25 years as a commercial snapper, and is a common sight on the side of football and rugby pitches, or even cycling venues and triathlons.
