THERE will be no cash to pay workers or other creditors owed more than half a million pounds by a closed-down Plymouth care home.
The Oasis Care Home, in Plymstock, shut in January 2022, and now documents filed at Companies House reveal creditors are unlikely to receive a penny of about £600,000 owed.
The home went into creditors voluntary liquidation, blaming the pandemic and staff shortages. Directors said it had become “impossible to recruit or retain sufficient staff” to provide the correct standard of care, and also complained about financial and operational challenges facing the care sector.
