Ellie Johnson, better known as Mrs Murals, won the Women in Arts, Media and Culture category at the West Country Women Awards

A PLYMOUTH mural artist whose work has brightened public spaces as well as raising money for charity has been recognised in the West Country Women's Awards.

Ellie Johnson, better known as Mrs Murals, was honoured as the Winner in the 'Women in Arts, Media and Culture' category at the awards, which were held at the Crowne Plaza.

She accepted her award during the ceremony, having been shortlisted from more than 2,000 nominees across the South West.
