PLYMOUTH City Council has responded to speculation regarding parking charges, insisting that free parking is not impacted by new terminals which have ben installed in short-stay car parks across the city.
Last week, the council announced new terminals were being installed in short-stay district car parks such as the Ridgeway, Broadway and West Park, to help ensure that free spaces continue to be available for shoppers and support local businesses. The new terminals are in response to concerns that some people are overstaying their 'free time' allocation and in some cases staying all day.
