The Supreme Court on Tuesday questioned the "timing" of the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi liquor policy case, as it came soon after the elections to the Lok Sabha were announced.
On the second day of the hearing of the petition filed by Kejriwal challenging his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate, his counsel Abhishek Manu Singhvi argued before the Bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and Dipankar Datta on the need for arrest and the material evidence on which it was based.
