Facing a royal candidate, Shinde booked in 2nd scam

Another trouble is brewing for Sharad Pawar’s NCP as its Satara Lok Sabha poll candidate, Shashikant Shinde, along with 24 members of the Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) board, have been booked in a floor space index (FSI) scam amounting to Rs62 crore. “The case is being investigated by the Economic Offences Wing,” a cop from the APMC police station said. Shinde, who is currently out on interim bail in the case of fraudulent allocation of market toilets, is contesting from the Satara seat against Udayanraje Bhosale, descendant of Maratha king Shivaji Maharaj.
