The evidence brought on record was not strong enough to convict the accused and the prosecution had failed to prove its case beyond reasonable doubt, said Pune additional sessions judge S.B.Salunkhe.
"It was a conspiracy to frame me and the police were misused... I an innocent," Hindu Rashtra Sena president Dhananjay Desai said after the court verdict.
