Party agents allowed to submit 50 SIR forms per day
The Free Press Journal - Mumbai
|November 18, 2025
The Election Commission has granted booth level agents from recognised political parties the authority to submit up to 50 enumeration forms per day before the publication of the draft electoral rolls.
The announcement was made by Chief Electoral Officer Archana Patnaik on Sunday, providing a significant shift in the electoral process.
The decision aims to streamline the process of verifying electoral data ahead of the draft rolls, allowing political parties to submit the details of potential voters.
Each BLA will need to ensure that the forms are accurate and contain correct information. Along with submitting the enumeration forms, BLAs are required to submit an undertaking certifying that they have personally verified the accuracy of the details in each form.
