T'S not often I have a moan...
OK, that statement may be a bit of a fib, because having a decent whinge goes with the territory when it comes to scribbling a weekly column.
This week's complaint is about Black Friday.
I should have started counting way back on January 1, 2025, as (by my reckoning) it seems like we've had at least 30 Black Fridays this year - and we're not into December yet!
Businesses up and down the land have adopted the phrase to suggest they are offering massive bargains (close inspection will often reveal they are doing no such thing).
In the last week, I've seen businesses state, 'Black Friday ends on Monday' (eh?) and 'Black Friday deals start Thursday, 8am' (an even bigger eh?).
