Four firebomb attacks as gangland war explodes

THE gangland war engulfing Scotland’s two biggest cities has escalated even further following the firebombing of four different properties in just 24 hours.

As police continue to try to clamp down on the rival factions, online threats are ramping up the tension, with no sign of the chaos stopping any time soon.

In the latest incident, a carpet warehouse located on an East Dunbartonshire trading estate was torched early yesterday morning. It is owned by Craig Gallagher, an enforcer for the north Glasgow-based Daniel crime family.

Their long-standing affiliations to Mark Richardson, a convicted drug trafficker from Edinburgh, are at the centre of the violence.

He has seen his criminal empire severely weakened over the past weeks as rivals aim to drive him out of business – and Scotland.

Attacks are being organised and co-ordinated by a Glaswegian businessman now living in Dubai.
