FAI to be held into triple ridge tragedy
Scottish Daily Express
|May 07, 2025
AN inquiry is to be held into the deaths of three people in what was Scotland's worst summer mountain climbing tragedy.
Dave Fowler, Graham Cox, and Hazel Crombie, all died after falling from the Aonach Eagach ridge in Glencoe in August 2023.
The three climbers had been reported missing on August 5 before their bodies were found by Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team volunteers.
A Fatal Accident Inquiry (FAI) into the deaths is to take place this summer.
Sheriff Neil Wilson told a hearing he expected the inquiry to be held in August at Fort William Sheriff Court.
A preliminary hearing is due to be held next month.
