It's third time lucky for Barum against Brixham

ARNSTAPLE and Brixham both have a point to prove when they square-up for the third time this season - this time in the last eight of the Papa John's Regional Championship.

Although Barnstaple pipped Brixham for top spot in South West One, and promotion into the National League network, they had two attempts at beating the Fishermen and could not do it.

It was honours even at 17-all when the sides met at Astley Park first time round - and 18-17 to Brixham in the rematch at Pottington Road.

The prize for reaching the final of the Papa John's competition is to play in a Twickenham final, which Barum did this time last year when they lost in extra time to Yorkshire side Heath.

Both sides will be motivated by the prospect of a Twickenham final, even though there is a two-leg quarter-final then a semi-final to negotiate first.
