ARTHUR puts out his hands to show the Manchester Evening News the state they are in. His fingers are covered in boils and scabs, his skin is blotchy with red patches.
Arthur - not his real name - has spent the night on the street in the bitter cold. Officially, the mercury plunged to -4C on Tuesday night making it one of the coldest the city has seen this year. Many of us were tucked up in bed, but rough sleepers like Arthur didn't have the luxury of four walls and a roof over their head.
"I have got so much chapped skin from the cold. I've also got two blisters from the hand warmers", he says.
