PAUL Rowley has called on his Salford players to use injured star Brodie Croft as a source of motivation to reach the Grand Final.
The Australian halfback, who has been a standout star for the Red Devils this season, suffered a concussion in the stunning playoff win over Huddersfield Giants on Saturday.
Protocols mean he will now miss Saturday's game at champions St Helens, where a place in the Grand Final is up for grabs following the 28-0 victory at the John Smith's Stadium.
It's a huge blow for Salford, but more so Croft, who has enjoyed a fine campaign which has seen him shortlisted for the Man of Steel award.
Head coach Rowley admitted his star player had been left devastated by the blow, but challenged his players to defy the odds yet again and give him the opportunity of featuring at Old Trafford later in the year.
