Bryan Adams keeps on rocking and rolling with the punches

Every weekend in pubs up and down the country you can hear wannabe singers blasting out Bryan Adams's Summer Of 69 at the top of their lungs.

As other songs come and go, the record has clung on as one of the most recognisable songs in the world some 40 years after its first release.

And with the track, which only reached number 42 in the UK on its 1985 release, Adams has managed to do something most songwriters only dream of with the track - create a standard.

The singer is also well known for his smash hit (Everything I Do) I Do It For You, which reached number one in the UK, and other songs such as Run To You and Please Forgive Me, numbers he has no qualms about playing decades later.
