Irish Daily Star
|November 04, 2025
A MAN in his 20s remained in custody last night as he was quizzed over a fatal stabbing.
Victor Mamaliga, who was 23, died after he was stabbed in the chest at Curragh Hall Crescent in Tyrrelstown near Blanchardstown, west Dublin, at around 10.30pm on Saturday.
Gardai, who will reportedly launch a murder inquiry, say they responded to a disturbance involving a number of people and upon their arrival, those involved in the incident fled.
A short time later, Mr Mamaliga arrived at Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown, where he was later pronounced dead.
Shortly afterwards, a man in his 20s was arrested in connection with the investigation and he continued to be held at a Garda station in Dublin last night.
