BREAD prices are being sliced from this morning as the supermarkets price war rages.
Tesco and Aldi are lowering the cost of own-brand bread products by 10c - after recent reductions in butter and milk.
It comes as the Government puts pressure on supermarket giants to reduce their prices, to ease the burden on cashstrapped shoppers.
The big multiples have been accused of jacking up prices during the cost of living crisis but failing to reduce them after input costs fell recently.
