FC wait on their injured star men

JOHN Cartwright has revealed a shoulder knock for Hull FC player Ed Chamberlain.

The stand-in back rower came off in the first half of the 28-14 derby defeat to Hull KR with the issue, with the medical staff declar-ing him not fit enough to return.

However, Cartwright is hoping the injury a further blow after Cade Cust's early sending off is just a nerve issue and not anything serious, with further checks over the weekend.

Hull play Wigan on Sunday, with Jordan Rapana also leaving the field late in the second half with a groin issue. However, the consensus is the Kiwi will be okay to play.

"Ed has copped a knock to his shoulder," Cartwright told the Mail. "It might be a nerve thing; it went dead, and he lost a bit of power

"The medical staff weren't keen to put him back out there.
