Delhi HC designates 71 advocates as 'senior'

INCREASED REPRESENTATION FOR WOMEN
The Delhi high court on Friday conferred the designation of senior advocate on 71 distinguished lawyers, following a thorough selection process that focussed on including an unprecedented number of women.
The list, which was released on Friday after a full court meeting, which was also conducted on the same day, included Il women, chosen by the high court's permanent committee, headed by chief justice Manmohan. The other members of the committee include justices Vibhu Bakhru, Yashwant Varma, additional solicitor general (ASG) Chetan Sharma, senior advocates Sudhir Nandrajog and senior advocate Mohit Mathur.
