French Actor Depardieu on Trial for Sexual Assault

French actor Gerard Depardieu, who has faced a string of assault and rape allegations, was set to go on trial in Paris on Monday, accused of sexually abusing two women during a film shoot in 2021.
PARIS:
Depardieu, 76, who has made over 200 films and television series, has been accused of improper behaviour by around 20 women, but this is the first case to come to trial.
