Milkipur, Erode seats log over 65% turnouts

Bypolls to the Milkipur assembly constituency in Uttar Pradesh and Erode East in Tamil Nadu concluded on Wednesday with each recording 65.35% and 67.97% turnouts, respectively, according to provisional data released by the Election Commission till 11pm.

At Milkipur, 370,000 voters exercised their franchise, surpassing the turnout recorded in the 2022 assembly polls. At 11pm, the constituency recorded a turnout of 65.35%. This was 67.97% at Erode East. Both numbers are likely to go up.
