Gurugram police on Sunday said that they were not seeking statements from friends or individuals who have posted emotional tributes or allegations on social media in the aftermath of tennis player Radhika Yadav's murder.
Investigators said that the charge sheet in the case is being finalised and will be filed in the court soon.
The officers reiterated the claim that it was an “open and shut” case with the police having strong forensic and testimonial evidence to nail the accused.
Radhika, 25, a state-level tennis player and founder of a tennis academy in Sector 56, was shot dead by her father, Deepak Yadav, 51, at their residence in Sushant Lok Phase-3 on the morning of July 11.
According to investigators, the crime was premeditated.
