Travel and tourism sector is witnessing consistent growth worldwide and provided 357 million jobs globally in 2024, UITHM (University Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management) which ranks amongst India’s Top Hospitality Management Institution has once again proved its mettle in preparing the students of Hotel Management, Travel & Tourism Management for the Global Hospitality Industry.
As Chandigarh University has become the most sought-after destination for leading national and international recruiters to hire fresh talent, 834 students of Tourism and Hospitality Managementat CU secured jobs at the students in prestigious hospitality establishments in the past two years (2023 and 2024).
The highest package offered to students of Chandigarh University went up from Rs 10 Lakh Per Annum (LPA) in 2023 to Rs 21 LPA in 2024. Even more, as many as 76 students of Tourism and Hospitality Management at CU received multiple job offers as this sector is witnessing a manifold increase in the demand various travel-related services due to increasing domestic travellers, foreign visitors and the MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) segment.
