Police wait to question 'crossbow killer' as laws on weapons could be reviewed

POLICE were today waiting to question suspected crossbow killer Kyle Clifford in hospital over the triple murder of the wife and daughters of a BBC sports commentator — as the Government said tighter laws could be announced soon.

Clifford, 26, a former soldier, was captured injured in the Lavender Hill cemetery in Enfield yesterday at the end of a huge manhunt after Carol Hunt, 61 and her daughters Hannah, 28, and Louise, 25, were found dead at their home in Bushey in Hertfordshire.

Mrs Hunt, the wife of racing commentator John Hunt, is understood to have been found with a crossbow bolt in her chest. Evidence of ligatures was also reportedly found at the scene, while Hertfordshire police said that as well as a crossbow other weapons had potentially been used.
