CHARLIE Barker could be back in contention when Derby return to Regional 1 North West action tomorrow with a trip to face Leek (2.15pm).
-
The forward's 2024-25 season ended last October when he suffered a double lower leg break against Long Eaton, in a match that was subequently abandoned. So far this season he has been sidelined after a groin injury in a preseason game against Scunthorpe but could be in the frame for tomorrow's away fixture.
“Charlie's presence in the team will be great for the squad,” said Derby head coach Liam Slatem.
“He's our co-captain and is a leader who has been around the club for a long time. So he's certainly going to add value to the team.
“Jeri Oldfield should also feature as he has been dealing with a few niggles.
