MEN are forking out up to £130,000 to become taller - by having their legs broken.

Fellas who dream of being more like 6ft 7in footie giant Peter Crouch are adding up to 6 into their height with limb-lengthening surgery.

The agonising process involves the snapping of both legs with adjustable nails inserted down their centres. The nails are extended a millimetre a day for about 90 days via a magnetic control.

Eight months ago John Lovedale, in his mid-40s, paid £64,000 for the op.
