STEVE CLARKE has revealed he wants to get Scotland to a World Cup - before a return to club management.

- BY SCOTT MCDERMOTT

He has been in charge for six years and led the national team to two European Championship Finals.

But with Clarke's SFA contract due to expire at the end of this World Cup campaign, he’s determined to be in the USA, Canada and Mexico next summer.

If he achieves it, the former West Brom and Reading boss, 62, says he'll then consider going back into club football.

Scotland face Belarus at Hampden today in a vital qualifier, having beaten Greece 3-1 on Thursday night.

Clarke's side can put themselves in a terrific position if they rack up another three points - with just two games to go in November.
