A TODDLER who suffered a stroke on a sunshine holiday has been diagnosed with a “one in 10million” condition.
Georgia McLaughlin, from Glasgow, fell ill on her first holiday abroad in the Spanish town of Salou with her parents Kirsty, 37, and Andrew, 38.
After suffering a seizure, the 18-month-old was rushed to hospital where a brain scan revealed she had suffered a stroke.
After being flown back to Scotland by air ambulance, the youngster was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow and has since had two major brain surgeries.
Neurology experts have diagnosed her with Moyamoya disease - an ultra-rare blood vessel disorder which causes strokes.
Mum Kirsty, a network officer for Glasgow Council, told the Record that Georgia was one of the youngest stroke patients medics have seen.
