>> DUNDEE..............1 HAMILTON...............0
IT won't win Dundee any style awards but Paul McMullan reckons his side's gritty win over Hamilton has the Dens outfit sitting pretty in the Championship flag race.
Gary Bowyer's team moved to within a point of table-toppers Ayr after McMullan's close-range finish 12 minutes into the second half was enough to heap more misery on Hamilton's basement boys.
However, it took a wonder save from Dees keeper Ian Lawlor and an outrageous slice of luck for the hosts to claim the points after Reegan Mimnaugh's 25-yard rocket slammed against the underside of the bar and then BOTH posts.
Dundee had to roll their sleeves up in the final stages but they held firm and McMullan says something special is brewing as they eye up a Premiership return.
