LAWRENCE SHANKLAND insists he has an impressive win record at Hampden.
Unfortunately they mostly came in front of a few hundred fans in the bottom tier of Scottish football with Queen's Park.
The Hearts skipper is still waiting for his first taste of a major cup final having lost whenever he has stepped out for a last-four clash at the National Stadium.
Two wins in a Scotland shirt and a host of Division Three victories as a teenager with the Spiders are his only glories in Mount Florida.
And when it comes to Hearts' all-time record against Rangers at the home of Scottish football it's no better with the Jambos yet to put one over their Ibrox rivals in 150 years of trying Shankland was in playful mood over his Hampden backstory heading into tomorrow's Scottish Cup semi with Philippe Clement's side.
But the Tynecastle goal machine was deadly serious about writing a new chapter in his and Hearts history.
He said: "Yeah, my Hampden record is brilliant actually. I used to play for Queen's Park - I've won loads of games there! "No, I'm kidding. My record there probably isn't the best but I've only been there two or three times in terms of the cups.
"You watch games on telly when you're younger and you think it would be great to play at Hampden in a cup final.
"But your career can take you in different directions at times. You never know.
"You can't take these kind of opportunities for granted. They don't come around too often.
