LET'S GET THE JOB DON

CONNOR RANDALL reckons Ross County owe it to Don Cowie to grasp the victory that would assure Premiership safety tonight.

Three points in Perth would seal 10th place for the Staggies and consign Craig Levein’s men to the relegation play-offs.

Defender Randall, who has been a midfield mainstay in a converted role this season, wants the players to reward interim boss Cowie for the way he has lifted them out of the doldrums.

When Derek Adams left on February 7 after just 79 days in charge, it was a 5-0 defeat by Mother well at Fir Park that sealed his exit.

County were left five points behind the Saints at that stage.

Ironically, County come into tonight’s showdown at Mc Diarmid Park off the back of another five-goal thumping from Stuart Kettlewell’s team, but sit two points above Saints.

But Randall believes the Staggies are light years on from where they were in early February.

The Liverpudlian said: “It’s clear to see that the gaffer has done a fantastic job.

“A couple of months ago when he came in, if someone had offered us the position we’re in now, we would have grabbed it.

“That shows what a good job he has done to bring the group back together.
