DARVEL...1 ABERDEEN...O
JIM GOODWIN is facing the Aberdeen axe on the back of the most humiliating result in the club's history.
The Dons were dumped out of the Scottish Cup by West of Scotland League minnows Darvel in the biggest shock EVER in the competition.
Goodwin's position was under threat before he headed to Ayrshire for last night's fourth-round clash following a horror run of just one win in their last nine games and a 5-0 hammering by Hearts.
But chairman Dave Cormack was in the tands at Recreation Park to see the Dons plummet to new depths against the part-timers.
The US-based chief was seen speaking to shellshocked Goodwin after the final whistle but now faces a major call with the Pittodrie club's season spiralling down the drain.
Aberdeen legend Willie Miller admitted the result makes it almost impossible for Goodwin to remain.
He said: "It's a really difficult situation that Dave finds himself in. It's a huge decision for him.
"I think Jim and the chairman will have to have serious discussions. I don't know if there's enough goodwill from the chairman to allow Jim to stay.
