BETTER THAN THE BAFTAS

LOVE Island stars Laura Anderson and Paige Turley are used to gracing the red carpet but both agree no A-list event will ever top Pride of Scotland.

The glamorous duo, who are red carpet hosts at Monday night's glittering awards, will chat to the inspirational winners and celebrity guests as they make their way into Glasgow's Hilton for this year's star-studded ceremony.

Laura and Paige say they can't wait to bring the nation all the gossip and style from the red carpet but admit they will be stocking up on waterproof mascara and paper hankies ahead of the big night.

The stunning pair sat on the this year's judging panel and admit they might struggle to hold it together when they meet the unsung heroes they have heard so much about.

Laura, 35, who became a mum to Bonnie last September, said: "I was at the Bafta television awards last week with the great and the good of the TV world. It was a fabulous event but nothing will ever top the Pride of Scotland Awards.

"It is truly the best in every way as it celebrates just how wonderful the Scots are. They say people make Scotland and that is so true, and these awards honour the best of them and I can't wait to be back on the red carpet with Paige.

"I am, however, really worried that I will turn into a blubbering wreck when I come face to face with the incredible winners because I was a judge this year and feel I already have a connection with their stories."
