ARMY chiefs have been slammed after a Black Watch soldier was shot dead in a night-time training exercise.
Private Conor McPherson was training at Heely Dod firing range in Otterburn, Northumberland.
Conor's dad, Neil, from Paisley, described him as a model son and said the family have been left facing a future of "deep sorrow" since the accident in August 2016.
