German Shepherd Luna and PC Linda McBride got the Lifesaver gong at the Thin Blue Paw Awards in Knebworth Park, Hertfordshire.
The duo had spent almost eight years working in Stirlingshire after being partnered in December 2012 when Luna was a 12-week-old pup.
Luna retired in June and celebrated with her first holiday where she enjoyed playing on the beach and swimming in the sea.
PC McBride, 55, from Falkirk, said: "Luna would continue to work if the choice was hers, she was an exceptional police dog.
"I am very proud of her and everything that she has achieved."
