Union Ministers Ashwini Vaishnaw, G. Kishan Reddy Visits Railway Manufacturing Unit, Kazipet

Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister of Railways, Information & Broadcasting and Electronics & Information Technology and G. Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of Coal and Mines visited Railway Manufacturing Unit at Kazipet today i.e., 19th July, 2025 along with other dignitaries and public representatives. Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, South Central Railway; Bhartesh Kumar Jain, Divisional Railway Manager, Secunderabad Division; Principal Heads of the Departments, SCR and other senior officials were also present.

Addressing the media personnel at the site, Ashwini Vaishnaw stated that the Mega Railway Manufacturing Unit at Kazipet is being developed with modern, state-of-the-art technology with a cost of Rs. 521 crores. He informed that the civil construction works at the manufacturing unit will be completed by December, 2025, while the entire project is expected to be completed by the end of the year 2026. The Union Minister stated that the manufacturing unit has high potential and has been designed flexibly to manufacture coaches, engines and metro trains. Ashwini V
