The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (SVPIA) authorities have decided to introduce strict measures to make SVPIA a ‘tout free zone’ to prevent frequent frictions between security personnel and auto-cab drivers considering the safety of passengers, said sources at the airport.
The airport, of late, has reported several incidents of clashes between security staff and auto cab drivers over picking up passengers. A similar incident occurred on Saturday night following which the authorities have taken the decision.
