TUMI MORAKE

40, Atlanta, Georgia and Joburg

Tumi needs no introduction; she's a mom, wife, author, columnist, presenter, producer - a powerhouse! She's fun, loud and friendly, and she inspires us with a laugh and great on-stage outfits - and she is always ready with a witty comeback. Her edgy and unpredictable brand of comedy has wowed audiences around the globe.

Tumi has shared the stage with the likes of David Kau, Marc Lottering, Barry Hilton and Chris Forrest and has earned her place as a headliner in comedy festivals such as the Kings & Queens of Comedy. She's bold and sassy, and you simply cannot ignore her! Her journey in 2022 has seen her establishing a name for herself in New York and Atlanta, Georgia.

I LIKE TO...look cute but feel naked. So fun, light and colourful is key. And I'm a jumpsuit junkie. For me, fashion is an expression of personality - whether you are chasing trends or not, you'll find that there is a fashion corner you can't help but subscribe to. Fashion can announce you before you announce yourself. Yeah, to power dressing! Again, establishing for those who encounter you to beware the boss babe.

MY SIGNATURE LOOK IS... to dress up with heels and a face, and to dress down with some sneakers and a natural glow. I love a spritz of Carolina Herrera's 212 NYC and Good Girl. And I occasionally dabble in Victoria's Secret lingerie, because great underwear and just a little cleavage make me feel so gorgeous!

MY NUMBER-ONE FASHION TIP... is to get rid of everything that is too small for you in your wardrobe; it'll only make you feel fat. I have learnt the real value of asking an opinion about what I wear only when I am comfortable with the option - there is no point looking great but feeling awkward. I truly believe that the emotions we wear can distract from the fashion containing them.
