Gucci announces collaboration with British streetwear label, Palace Skateboards

AFTER NUMEROUS RUMOURS that have been spreading on the interweb for some time, Gucci has officially announced that Alessandro Michele and British streetwear brand, Palace Skateboards will in fact be collaborating by releasing a capsule collection that brings the world of streetwear and luxury together to display a mirrored approach in a single aesthetic expression.

The London-based brand has been a defining underground force in men’s fashion in the past decade, and together with Gucci, offers a collection that is quintessentially both the Italian House and the British brand. The Palace Gucci collaboration will be the brainchild of all three designers – Alessandro Michele, and Palace Skateboards’s cofounders Lev Tanju and Gareth Skewis— where the collection focuses on sports-driven motifs laced through streetwear ideologies, tapping into a world of fashion without hierarchy, liberation and democracy at the forefront of the concept.
