Even in the heart of winter, we the gardeners find solace amid the quiet whispers of nature. Chilly dawns bring a tranquil hush, calling us to revel in the enchanting stillness of the season. Wrapped in a cosy scarf, woolly jumper and warm gloves, we lovingly tend to the dormant earth, dreaming of the vibrant blooms that will awaken in spring.

As a seasoned gardener, I appreciate the challenge of mustering the motivation to venture outdoors into the cold. Each morning at 5am, when my alarm rings, it takes a concerted effort to leave the warmth of my blankets and step out into the frosty garden. The adage 'there's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing' has never rung truer for those of us tending to our gardens during winter.
