There’s something peculiar about hearing a band live for the first time that catches your attention without knowing anything about them and letting their music do the talking. That’s exactly how it went down when we caught Mumbai blues-rockers Bluestackface performing at the International Blues Day gig at Lower Parel’s antiSOCIAL, curated by guitarist Adil Manuel. The band bagged the opening slot before Manuel and his crew took the stage after winning a call for entries to play at the show.
