“Don’t answer the door in your pajamas, Mum,” our daughter, Flynn, reminded me. “You’re frightening the pizza delivery guy.”
She’s right. We need these guys to get us through COVID even if we come out the other side 10 kilos heavier.
COVID has seen us do things we thought we’d never do. We answer the door in towels, pyjamas or nothing at all. We adopt dogs and bake bread. Stamp collections are back in fashion. Thousand-piece puzzles are scattered on tables across Australia.
It’s been a long and difficult year, dear friends, but there were fine times too. Walk with me down memory lane.
January 2021
Christmas went well. At least everyone seemed to be talking to each other on Boxing Day. The MOTH said they were trading receipts so they could take the pink shorts and weird perfume back.
