A murder inquiry has been launched after a husband and wife suffered fatal injuries at their home in a Somerset village while their young children were in the house.
Neighbours claimed there had been rows in the street over parking. Avon and Somerset's police declined to discuss a possible motive, but the force referred itself to the watchdog because of previous contact it had had with those involved.
Two men aged 34 and 67 have been arrested on suspicion of murder. The names of the couple who died have not been released but neighbours said the man worked as a teacher.
Police said the couple’s two children were in the house in a modern development close to the center of the village of Norton Fitzwarren, near Taunton. They are believed to be being looked after by a relative.
