Plea to Green over staff

SIR Philip Green’s sister has urged him to apologise after the collapse of his Arcadia group.

Elizabeth Green says the billionaire’s mother Alma would have scolded him over the demise of the fashion chain and the BHS scandal.

She added that their mum – who died in 2015 – would also have been devastated to see his reputation ruined.

Elizabeth, 72, said: “Philip should apologize to his staff for what has happened. An apology is an expression of compassion and responsibility.

“It is a statement that we’re willing to take responsibility for our actions.

“It is not an admittance of guilt, nor is it taking the blame.”
