NEW DELHI: India on Thursday asserted that the completion of disengagement in the remaining friction points in eastern Ladakh could pave the way for the Indian and Chinese sides to consider de-escalation of forces and ensure full restoration of peace and tranquillity in the border areas.
According to a joint statement released by the Indian Army after the 12th round of military talks held in late July, the two sides had a candid and in-depth exchange of views relating to disengagement and the meeting further enhanced the mutual understanding.
