ENGLAND were this morning breathing a sigh of relief at the news that allrounder Liam Livingstone is expected to be fit for their T20 World Cup campaign after leaving the field during yesterday’s warm-up defeat to India.

Livingstone likely to be fit for T20 World Cup opener

Livingstone (right, yesterday) was forced off in the 16th over of the Indian innings after hurting a finger when dropping Ishan Kishan as England succumbed to a seven-wicket defeat.

Eoin Morgan is already without Sam Curran and Jofra Archer because of injuries, while Ben Stokes is taking a break from the game to focus on his mental wellbeing, while also recovering from a broken finger.
